We are looking for a dynamic Design Manager who has a sharp eye for detail with ability to forecast trends. This is to be working for a highly successful fashion business who supply womenswear, menswear and kidswear to major iconic retailers.
Based in London, this is a tremendous role for an experienced Senior Designer or Design Manager who can lead and inspire a team whilst also being hands on with product and customers. You will need a solid understanding of jersey design and garment construction.
Main Responsibilities include:- Manages a translation of strategic business goals into compelling market-ready products.
- Implementing direction and innovation for the season across shape, print, fabric and trim.
- Ability to create bestselling jersey ranges and be hands on with trends, giving direction and guidance to your team
- Leading, coaching, and expanding the design team.
- Developing and overseeing the design briefs and projects from inception to completion.
- Presenting design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and management teams.
- Conducting market research and trend analysis to keep designs innovative and competitive.
Person Specifications:
- Over 10 years' experience in a design focused role with sound knowledge of jersey.
- Experience within ladieswear, menswear and / or childrenswear design.
- Continuous education in new design trends, technologies, and methodologies.
- Demonstrate longevity in your design career.
- Management of a small team required.
- Excellent communication at all levels along with, time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to present and work alongside key management in the business.
