Job Title: Principal Design Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Design Manager to join our team at RED Engineering Design. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage design teams to deliver high-quality projects
  • Develop and implement design management tools and procedures
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the design team
Requirements:
  • BEng in an appropriate engineering discipline
  • MCIBSE/MIEE/IMechE Professional Membership
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status
  • 10+ years' experience at Senior Engineer level or above
  • Proven experience in design management and project delivery
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of design principles
