Belmont Recruitment are currently working with Preston based Childrens Therapy Service who are looking for a Band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapist to join them on a contract basis.

The SaLT team work with children and young people aged 0- 19 with well-developed and evidenced based pathways covering the needs of children with communication needs. The therapy team also work closely with colleagues in health, education, and social care to provide a genuinely child-centred service. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessment of need, intervention and treatment provision as indicated for a wide variety of conditions (this may include chronic, complex, disabling life limiting and challenging illnesses) within the area of speech and language therapy. This is a 37.5hrs a week full time position, however part time applicants may also be considered. 3-6 month contract with potential extension opportunities. Duties | Responsibilities:
  • Multi-disciplinary/multi-agency collaborative working
  • Safeguarding of children/adults and implementation of policy and procedures with evidence of training/updates
  • Involvement in service improvement projects
  • Knowledge of a range of therapy techniques and programmes
Pay rate: £ £25.00 per hour (depending on banding) We also have other positions within mental health in the area that are waiting to be filled.
