Giving Time Project Worker

Job Role:


To assist Community VISION in delivering our new and exciting project working with volunteer Mentors in HMP Lindholme, delivering training on the value of volunteering, supporting them to find volunteering opportunities for their release from custody, and working with them in the community to engage in volunteering.

The role will involve being a key-holder in HMP Lindholme, therefore the postholder will need to be able to pass prison vetting procedures and secure an Enhanced DBS Certificate.

The role will involve working in HMP Lindholme, as well as travelling to meet volunteers in the community.


The postholder will work as part of the wider AMICABLE team, comprising of Prison Staff, University Research Staff, the Prison Radio Association, an NHS Trust, a community lived experience group and CVS organisations.

The postholder will have counterparts in HMP Styal and HMP Low Newton.

Therefore we require a suitably qualified and experienced person to take this project forward.

Job Type:
Part-time

Pay:
£16,010.00 per year

Expected hours: 18.5 per week
