The Vision Centre are a local optician providing eye tests, contact lens services, and manufacturing lenses to the optical industry and we are now seeking a dedicated Practice Administrator to join our team.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the smooth operation of our practice.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage inquiries with efficiency.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records accurately.
  • Utilize XeyeX and other office software for administrative tasks.
  • Maintain phone etiquette standards and ensure effective communication within the practice.
  • Organize and coordinate appointments to optimize the flow of the reception area and the domiciliary diary.
Experience

  • Proven experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
  • Optical knowledge would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in using computerized systems for managing appointments and records.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact with patients professionally.
  • Telesales experience is preferred

Pay:
£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

  • Customer service: 1 year (required)

  • Telesales: 1 year (preferred)
