Housing First Worker21 HSC are looking to recruit a Housing First Worker to join our clients Housing First Team in Midlothian The role requires supporting people who have current and previous experiences of rough sleeping into their own tenancies, tenancies to support them in fostering safety, choice and control in their lives.

The people who use the service have often experienced significant trauma, exclusion and stigma. The work will be community based on a 1-1 basis while also contributing to service development. Multi agency relationship building is part of the role.

Qualifications and ExperienceIt is desirable that candidates are qualified with an SVQ 3 in Social Care (or are willing to work towards it) and be registered or willing to regsuter with the SSSC as a Housing Support Worker.

It is desirable for candidates to have additional training or qualifications in Trauma-informed practice, Assist, Mental Health/Substance Use and to be Naloxone trained.

It is essential for candidates to have experience supporting people with issues such as homelessness, mental ill health and/or substance use.

Lived experience of homelessness is desirable.
