Youth Worker

Midlothian Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Lifelong Learning and Employability service, you will play a vital role in delivering key functions and supporting the development of children and young people in Midlothian.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver key functions of the Lifelong Learning and Employability service through one-to-one key worker engagement.
- Support the development of children and young people in Midlothian, focusing on increasing and sustaining positive destinations.
- Work with a variety of learning and employability partners to deliver informal learning and support the development of core and employability skills.
- Liaise with providers of opportunities across the employability pipeline, including employers and those offering placements.
- Input data into management information to support continuous improvement and create and support existing partnerships.
- Fully trained jobholders must hold a minimum SVQ3 level qualification in Youth Work or equivalent subject, and have experience supporting children and young people in an educational setting.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
