Purpose of Job:

Provide a professional out of hours support function to the Group, reporting and facilitating responses to issues raised by customers, staff, and members of the public.


Principle Accountabilities:
Gather and collate information on issues or complaints raised, escalating as required. Ensure that the on-call log is kept up-to-date, producing daily reports and collating data for KPI reporting.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Take incoming calls from customers and staff regarding operational issues that occur on site.
  • Take incoming calls from members of the public regarding complaints or issues. 'Coach' callers to extract essential information required for follow up actions and reports.
  • Facilitate operational responses to issues on site (e.g., arranging replacement people, plant or equipment, Fitter response, etc.).
  • Where required, facilitate emergency response via Level 2 Managers.
  • Ensure follow up actions from incoming calls on each shift are completed or properly handed over to the next CCR at shift changeover.
  • Carry out a formal handover to the next CCR at shift changeover, ensuring any ongoing issues / actions taken are explained in detail.
  • Follow a strict reporting procedure to help ensure accurate data is extracted and reported.
  • Complete and circulate periodic worksite reports from managed sites.
  • Collate call data for periodic KPIs (leading and lagging).

Required Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications and Training:

  • Ability to deal with callers on the telephone, building rapport and remaining composed under pressure.
  • A focus on quality, customer service and doing the right thing.
  • Strong problem solving and decisionmaking abilities, able to find practical solutions to issues as they arise.
  • Organised, with strict attention to detail.
  • Experience managing conflicting deadlines with excellent time management skills.
  • Confident IT user, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook and Word).
  • Experience using SalesForce (or similar software) is desirable.
  • At least 1 year experience in a call handling, customer liaison, or similar role.
  • Comfortable working night shifts and weekend hours.
