You will be great at:
- Development and implementation of the health and safety policy and implementation of new policy and procedures
- Working with functional leaders and teams to implement systems and procedures to raise the standards of health and safety in the organisation
- Supporting the business to maintain those safe systems of work and implement best practice, including providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support
- Leading inhouse training with managers and employees covering health and safety issues and risk
- Creating management reports, newsletters and bulletins
You are:
- Confident in the development and implementation of effective Business Continuity plans to minimise disruption to critical functions
- Adept in assisting line managers to implement Health and Safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), in a consistent and effective manner
- Flexible and adaptable in approach
- Able to work well under pressure
You have:
- Strong generalist H&S management background, specifically in the Food or Manufacturing Industry
- Credibility as a Head of Health & Safety with proven capability to successfully influence
- Current NEBOSH /The British Safety council Diploma in safety management, / NVQ LEVEL
- Qualified Trainer in H&S and food related disciplines to include Food Hygiene, NEBOSH and risk assessment processes; HACCP desirable
