Delighted to be supporting one of the UK's top law firms in recruiting for a CSR and Inclusion Specialist.

The job holder will assist in the development and delivery of comprehensive CSR and Inclusion strategies, supporting significant growth in diversity and inclusion initiatives, pro bono, charitable and volunteering activities across all areas of the business.


The team consists of a director of inclusion and CSR, an inclusion and CSR manager, an inclusion and CSR executive and a PA.


Key Responsibilities:

- assist the inclusion and CSR team in developing the firm's inclusion, pro bono, community, charitable and environmental projects and initiatives;
- coordinate the delivery of these programmes including maintaining the rotas of various schemes including weekly legal clinics, educational and enterprise programmes and mentoring schemes;
- coordinate the firm's Community Day programme including identifying suitable volunteering opportunities and monitoring uptake and success of this scheme;
- support the operation of the internal staff networks;
- work with fee earners and business services to encourage them to participate in these initiatives (both new and existing programmes);
- administer requests for information, respond to queries from individual staff about volunteering opportunities and place them on appropriate projects;
- facilitate requests for assistance including liaising with pro bono brokerages, internal "champions" and fee earners as required;
- coordinate the meetings of the Diversity and CSR Committees, including taking minutes and assisting with the follow-up;
- coordinate the nomination and selection of the firm's main charity partner, through a staff vote, and develop the relationship with that charity to arrange key fundraising events throughout the year and to promote the same to staff;
- coordinate events throughout the year, liaising with external charities and organisations about the hosting of their events and coordinating the same;
- liaise with marketing, HR, graduate recruitment, learning and development, finance and other teams to ensure inclusion and CSR activities are embedded within and supported by these key business services across the firm;
- update and maintain the internal intranet pages with current stories and forthcoming initiatives, reviewing content of external website and drafting various other content and communications;
- develop and maintain a log of inclusion and CSR activities around the firm, coordinate an annual reporting exercise, assist with bench-marking and drafting of award submissions;
- raise the profile of the inclusion and CSR initiatives internally and externally (in a variety of formats and places and using a range of media, including social media) to increase awareness, participation and impact;
- support with the management of the inclusion and CSR budgets, including monitoring expenditure against budget, arranging for payments to be processed, charitable donations, administering the matched giving scheme and payroll giving queries;
- submit external benchmarking matrices and forms; and
- identify and draft relevant award submissions.

This job description encompasses the main duties of the role and is by no means exhaustive. It is anticipated that duties may vary from time to time according to the needs of the department.

About you:

- motivated and committed, with a demonstrable interest in and passion for increasing inclusion and CSR in the workplace;
- capable of coordinating a variety of projects simultaneously, ensuring all our programmes run smoothly and efficiently;
- good verbal and written English communication skills, with an emphasis on engagement, internal communications and good presentation skills;
- highly organised, attentive to detail, resourceful in approach and able to use own initiative;
- responsive and proactive self-starter, able to work independently, prioritise workload and cope with pressure;
- experience of the voluntary sector and management of relationships between it and the commercial or legal sector. Able to communicate effectively with the voluntary sector;
- strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills to create presentations and papers that deliver effective key messages. Excel knowledge and skill to access and modify data; and
- degree level preferred, but not essential. Legal qualification an advantage, but not essential.
