  • You have, or want to, support individuals with a learning disability within a Farm setting.
**What are the main responsibilities of this role?

  • Supervise and direct other workers (employees, volunteers, guest volunteers), with the supervision of clients and the day to day running of the farm.
  • Make sure all team members work within the appropriate policies and procedures, practices and controls and that appropriate recording and reporting arrangements are used to support and evidence the meeting of the Trusts' contractual and regulatory requirements, having particular regard for the Trusts' health and safety requirements.
  • Undertake other tasks as required individually or with others to develop and maintain the high quality of service required to fulfil the vision of the social farm including, for example, by actively participating in meetings and relevant training and organising the workshop to support festivals.
  • To contribute to the health and wellbeing of the animals on the farm.
  • To recognise illnesses and welfare issues on the farm and notify the farm team.

  • Work with the Life of Opportunity Manager and Head of Natural Environment to ensure the social farm meets the Trusts' objectives for supporting the People We Support in a landbased environment.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure that the social farm works towards a minimum break even financial stance.
  • Keep all appropriate records and information in an orderly manner and on a timely basis and provide any information and documentation required and prepare regular reports on the workshop activity to help make sure there is accurate and timely information available about the workshop.
