Key Responsibilities of a Claims Handler:

  • Helping and supporting customers who have been involved in accidents
  • Managing a portfolio of fault and non-fault motor claims, ensuring the customers requirements and expectations are properly framed and understood
  • Ensuring that claims are handled in the correct technical manner
  • Managing clear communications with customers and a variety of third parties
  • Managing an allocation of claims alongside dealing with postal and incoming telephony demand

Key Skills and Experience of a Claims Handler:

  • You need to be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail
  • You should be able to influence and persuade others to your way of thinking
  • Being able to multitask and prioritising your own workload whilst working under pressure
  • You will need to be computer literate with the ability to learn new systems
  • A positive attitude with a flexible and resilient approach to change and teamwork is required
