The Channel Islands


For a city-based lawyer who thrives on big-ticket work but craves an escape from the rat race, few places compete with the Channel Islands, home to two of the world's premier offshore financial centres.

Jersey and Guernsey have strong and highly competitivelegal sectors, housing teams that number many alumni of the leading London or international outfits amongst their ranks.

They do complex blue-chip work, in a nice environment without the trappings of a big law firm culture.

Work-life balance tends to be good,leaving plenty of time to enjoy what is an enviable coastal lifestyle and London is only an hour away making it easy to get that city fix when (or if) you need it.


Process
Interviews will take place by videoconference with start dates typically around 3-4 months later (depending on your notice period). Our clients provide comprehensive assistance with visas (where required) and relocation.

Requirements:

The role is likely to suit someone with 0-2 years' experience. You will be admitted in the UK, Ireland or in a Commonwealth jurisdiction (e.g. Australia, New Zealand, South Africa).

Applicants will need strong academics (2.1 minimum) and will have trained/practisedwith a respected City, regional UK or international firm, including experience in at least one of corporate, banking & finance, or investment funds.

You will be a confident communicator who enjoys client contact.

Package
Good salary (likely to be in the range of £68k-£84k) with reduced tax rate (20%). Comprehensive benefits, bonus, and relocation package (flights + temporary accommodation on arrival + expenses allowance).
