We are looking for a detail-oriented, well-organised Certification Officer to join our client's team. This position is a fantastic opportunity for individuals interested in kickstarting their career in the Civil Service.

  • Review physical and digital documents provided by seafarers to assess their eligibility against regulatory criteria
  • Process applications within agreed Service Levels and request further information when necessary
  • Issue Certificates of Competency to qualified seafarers
  • Respond to certification enquiries via phone and email
  • Support administrative tasks and customer service initiatives

About the Role:

  • You don't need prior maritime experience as full training will be provided

About you:

  • Highly motivated, positive, and enthusiastic individual
  • IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

PAY RATE: £12.36/hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours/week
Contract: Temporary until further notice
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
