This is an opportunity to join the Data and Analytics Office (DAO).


They will have responsibility of supporting markets in reducing the risk and optimise effectiveness of the controls by providing advice and, where appropriate, by participating to global remediation efforts.

They will develop expertise on privacy laws and regulation, data sharing restrictions and Data Retention, building strong connections with various parts of WPB Business, but also related functions such as Risk and Control Management, CyberSecurity or Third Party Management.


Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Global WPB Data Privacy governance to ensure key risks, issues and breaches are understood, tracked and managed appropriately
  • Help markets implement controls in compliance with local laws and regulation
  • Influence and challenge the design and delivery of Groupwide standards and solutions to ensure they are fitforpurpose for WPB markets
  • Identify and help prioritise local demand for DAO Operation and Technology teams and escalate improvements needed to operate Data Privacy controls efficiently and effectively
  • Participate to Data Privacy and Retention remediation activities across WPB markets and regions
  • Provide adhoc advice to significant and complex change programmes during early phases of the Change Framework to support Privacy by Design
  • Help build a strong Data Privacy and Retention culture across WPB and ensure stakeholders are sufficiently literate on Data Privacy and Retention matters
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in Data Privacy/Retention and/or experience in at least 2 related areas, i.e. Risk & Control Management, Information Technology & Digital, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Security and/or Data Management
  • Good knowledge of Data Privacy laws and regulation, and Non-Financial Risks and Controls Management. Privacy certification would be a plus (e.g. IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, ISEB Certificate)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of financial services/ banking operations; Knowledge in the banking retail, private and/or insurance business is a plus
  • Ability to develop quickly expertise on broad range of legal and technology matters (e.g. Legal Holds, cookies technology, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player and collaborative delivery style
  • Enthusiasm for proactively seeking, exploring and developing solutions
  • Experience in dealing with complex problems by adopting a pragmatic approach, identifying and prioritising core requirements and translating them into a clear set of required activities that address the problem
