Data Protection Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice and recommendations on data protection topics, including data rights requests, data processing activities, data breach management, and data sharing.
  • Create and maintain documentation to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including registrations with the Information Commissioners Office.
  • Identify areas for review and lead on the development and delivery of colleague awareness and training.
  • Lead on data privacy aspects of improvement initiatives and developments across the Charity, collaborating with peers and colleagues.
  • Process and respond to requests from individuals exercising their rights under data protection legislation.
  • Produce compliance reports on data privacy and governance matters for the Charity Board and Governance, Reputation and Risk Committee.
About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a charity that values data protection and privacy. As a Data Protection Manager, you will work closely with the Company Secretary, Corporate Services, to lead the Charity's operational Data Protection and Compliance Programme and Privacy Management Framework.

You will champion the highest data protection standards and drive forward compliance, collaborating with colleagues across the Charity to assess and advise on the processing and use of Personal Data.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled and experienced data protection professional who is genuinely passionate about data protection, privacy principles, and the charity sector.
