This job listing is for a Guest Relations Executive to work the night shift at a hospitality and events venue in SUNDERLAND. The ideal candidate should have a proactive approach and excellent customer service skills, with a 'can do' attitude and be willing to get involved in a great team environment.

The 24-bedroom property is part of an exciting gaming and events venue, offering a buzzing role in a wicked gaming/esports business. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in hotel, hospitality, or retail, who possess a welcoming and professional personality, capable of providing friendly customer service and guest liaison.

The position offers a great hourly rate, a 4 on / 4 off rota, and a chance to be part of the vibrant online gaming and esports industry with a strong community focus. There is always something happening, making it an exciting opportunity to get involved in the hospitality side of the business.

The Role:
  • Assist the building Operations Manager
  • Perform walkabouts, check security and maintenance, and report any issues
  • Front of house and guest relations
  • Security responsibilities
  • Prepare for the next day's arrivals
  • Support events team as needed
  • Handle cleaning and basic maintenance tasks

Duties:
  • Ensure guest experiences from arrival through departure meet business standards
  • Follow and enforce security procedures, including patrols
  • Provide a friendly and professional Front of House presence, greeting guests and assisting with their needs
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly, ensuring high-level service
  • Log and report incidents or concerns to management
  • Stay informed about tariffs, facilities, and events
  • Oversee handover procedures and address any discrepancies
  • Monitor the premises via patrols, alarm systems, and CCTV
  • Complete any other assigned tasks

Key Skills and Qualifications Required:
  • Strong communication skills and guest focus
  • Willingness to undergo relevant checks and training
  • Computer literacy with the ability to learn internal systems
  • Confidence to communicate security protocols effectively
  • Reliability, attentiveness, patience, and diplomacy
  • Ability to use initiative and follow procedures
  • Previous events and hospitality experience preferred
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Active use of social media for networking and industry updates
