This is an exciting opportunity to play a lead role in our work preparing for the move to a brand new hospital; to support the Trust's strategic goals and objectives (Patients, People, Population) and our People Plan, with a specific focus on the OD development needed for the successful transition to a new hospital and a new Acute Care Model.

The successful applicant will take the lead in providing OD support to a range of teams who will be preparing to move, including changing working practices and team relationships as they come together from different sites into one new building.


This role will enable you to draw on your passion for OD, Leadership and Team Development within the unique opportunity of preparing for a successful move to a new hospital, whilst also helping us realise our culture change ambitions.


You will have an excellent track record of achieving results in a fast paced, large, complex organisation environment; excellent interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills alongside a creative, evidence based approach, and experience leading the provision of a range of multidisciplinary leadership and team development.

This is a senior manager post within the People & OD Directorate, and as such the post holder will be a strategic partner working alongside Senior OD colleagues, the Head of OD & Learning, to research, design, develop and deliver measurable OD development interventions to support the Trust's strategic goals and objectives (Patients, People, Population) including the People Plan and with a focus on OD development needed to support the successful transition to a new hospital and new Acute Care Model.


The post holder will be expected to manage the performance and direction of this OD service across the Trust and input into a wide range of projects, supporting culture change and including a particular focus on further developing and implementing the new Leadership Development framework and OD support for teams and team development across the organisation.

They will need to plan the implementation of the OD strategies, develop and take the lead in advising on the long-term strategy.

The role will act as lead for a number of complex, interconnected and critical programmes of work. The work is self-directed and requires a high level of initiative, research and evidence based conceptual thinking and drive.

This role is part of the People & Organisation Development Directorate and is a unique and exciting time to join as we embark on the journey
towards realising our ambitious People Plan and prepare for the opening of our new hospital.


This role works across all our Trust sites and community locations, we support flexible working and are currently operating a hybrid model of home and office based working.
