Job Title: Assistant Accountant at a Dynamic Accounting Firm

  • Completion of daily bookkeeping on Xero and Quickbooks Online for a wide range of clients from various industries
  • Assist in preparing VAT returns
  • Help with monthly CIS returns
  • Assist in preparing company accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Provide support in completing personal tax returns
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on social media content
  • Work with a diverse client portfolio including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You'll have direct interaction with the ambitious entrepreneurs we assist, offering you the chance to truly impact their families and businesses positively
  • Handle ad-hoc office tasks
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology to solve problems and support clients' businesses, ensuring they receive timely, pertinent information for decision-making

What You Will Do in Your Working Day:

The Training You Will Receive:

You'll have a thirst for knowledge and a supportive team guiding you every step of the way. You'll pursue your AAT Levels 2, 3, or 4 while gaining practical experience in the workplace, fully covered study expenses. Your main work location will be our office at the outskirts of Earls Colne in Essex, offering excellent transport links and picturesque country views, making your commute a delightful experience. We endorse flexible remote working options for all team members. The successful candidate will need to attend weekday courses once a week at First Intuition in Chelmsford, Southend, Colchester, or Ipswich to work towards their AAT qualification, coupled with apprenticeship mentoring for knowledge, skills, and behaviors.

What to Expect Upon Completing Your Apprenticeship:

Upon successfully finishing your apprenticeship, you'll have the chance to pursue further studies. We're eager to support you in obtaining ACCA or any other advanced qualification beyond AAT.

  • Qualifications: GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (Grade 4-9 or C-A*) - Essential
