The opportunity

Join our hyper-growth fast-paced organisation. We are seeking a candidate with relevant skills and experience to assume the role of Senior Management Accountant, responsible for month end financial reporting process.

At Multiverse, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our business forward. The individual will be responsible for the execution of our month-end close processes for all of business entities (in UK and abroad).

Objective of this role
Accountability for preparing sub-ledger close each month/quarter end for all entities
Maintaining financial policies to keep business partners intact in relation to month end financial closing process
Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting

Specifically, you will:
Facilitate and complete sub-ledger close for each month end (P&L and Balance Sheet journal preparation) for multi-entities
Preparer for all monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Finance Managers' review and for communication with business partners regularly to ensure all balances are accurately reflecting the business' position at each reporting date
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual analytic schedules with detailed commentary explaining variances above predetermined thresholds
Enhance documentation over established accounting policies, finance processes with references to best practices
Lead AR collection efforts, review aging reports and monitor bad debt balances
Assist with annual external auditor requests during different times of the year
Assist with UK tax and other regulatory matters, where applicable
Assist finance managers in their ad hoc projects as needed by the business
Assist with AP and AR related operational work (invoice processing and shared inbox management) during peak period
Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to collaborate effectively with wider team members.

About you:
Qualified accountant (if part-qualified, must be close to completion with less than 3 papers left)
Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting and bookkeeping as well as compliance requirements around accounts payable processes (both UK and US)
Understand expense accounts and cost centres
Ability to work on various entities with multi-currencies
Highly organised, attention to details, good time-management skills as well as proactive in stakeholder management with business partners
Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-suite applications

Preferred skills and qualifications
Experience with accounting software's such as NetSuite
Experience with online platforms such as Tipalti, Expensify and TravelPerk
Experience working with late stage start-ups and/or public companies
