Amida are working with a leading tier 1 main contractor, now looking for an additional Commercial Lead to join their London business with a turnover in excess of £900 million. They are seeking a Commercial Lead with extensive experience of NEC form of contract on building projects. This senior appointment means that the Commercial Lead will be looking after a portfolio of works worth up to £50 million per annum. Reporting into the Managing Director and with support from the Group Commercial Director. They are ideally seeking a Commercial Lead already working at this level and experience of NEC and JCT contracts. Reporting to the relevant sector Managing Director also with a functional line reporting to the Executive Commercial Director. The role will also have a key focus on sector experience in pursuit of new projects, with existing and target clients, building and nurturing relationships, in conjunction with the Managing Director, with key individuals. You will be part of a wider commercial leadership team including legal, bid management, and procurement.
Key Accountabilities
- Member of the Senior Management Team and collectively accountable for the delivery of the Sector operational plan.
- Assumes accountability for structuring commercial models that will deliver Sector profitability and growth in line with the operational plan.
- The successful implementation of key client account plans across the sector.
- Ensuring that the agreed sector proposition is effectively executed in every aspect of client engagement and driven through the entire solution.
- Ensure that delivery is in line with approved budgets.
- Build deep and trusting relationships with key stakeholders (internally and externally) to drive commercial success in work winning and to leverage our special partnership approach to secure high levels of repeat and negotiated business.
- Ensure compliance with risk, assurance, and governance to minimize risk and enhance client solutions.
- Undertake a robust critique of potential opportunities in respect of their viability (sector fit, operational, and commercial).
- Ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practice across the Sector to enable SRM to adopt a consistent approach to work winning and project delivery.
