Sales Manager (Aviation)

In support of a leading UK based specialist in Aviation Asset Management who are part of an International group of Aviation companies, our client is seeking a Sales Manager to focus on developing new clients to a global marketplace of operators, lessors,and MROs.

This encompasses the complete aspect of sales and business development from finding cold leads to evaluating commercial terms, writing proposals, making technical presentations, and converting contracts to grow the business.


The main focus of the role is to grow the market share of our client's innovative online enterprise solution, providing the best document management solution in the aerospace sector.

Our client also provides MRO services and full CAMO accountability to broadenthe service offering to clients, and are now looking for a proactive and driven Sales Manager to grow sales with domestic and international clients alike.


This is a hunter role, and our client are therefore looking for a Sales Manager with knowledge, experience and credibility within the Aviation sector.


Key responsibilities include:

Generate leads and sales and business opportunities. Mainly internationally but some sales may be domestically based.


Conduct winning presentations of our Company and their software system whilst being aware of any other services the client might benefit from.


Develop sales strategies, closure plans, and commercial responses to convert these opportunities to revenue and to achieve set targets agreed for the given year.

Maintain exceptional communication and follow-up with clients from the first presentation to the engagement of services and beyond.

Generate a forecast report to reflect out-turn of sales on a weekly, monthly, a quarterly to a full year.

Track all opportunities and actions on the Company CRM.

Build a solid understanding of all services the company offers.

Make yourself aware of the competition and identify where we can take advantage of our strengths.


Liaise with the relevant department that projects are all being worked on in a timely manner in accordance with the scope of work agreed.


Work in accordance with Company culture and procedures; ISO9001 & ISO27001, and with any others that may be implemented in the future.


Able to work in a quiet long-term situation with your leads whilst also able to work in a fast-paced situation to react quickly whilst maintaining composure.

Be available to travel to clients when necessary, occasionally at short notice.

Ensure all works are performed in accordance with all SLAs in place with customers.

Review customer satisfaction and validate any and all associated payment issues whilst remaining vigilant in Customer's business status (growth, financial challenges, etc.)


When engaged with customer projects, manage the on-site and off-site effort in implementing initial software installations, major upgrades and enhancements, and associated services such as data conversion, validation, training, and support as required.

Ensure that for all parts of projects all stakeholders internal and external are aware of their respective responsibilities.

Skills and Experience:

A wide knowledge of Airline and Business Aviation and associated support services is essential.

Proven track record of sales.

Numerate and analytical with excellent influencing and negotiation talent.


Exceptional communication ability both verbal and written in English, the ability to communicate in other languages is desirable but not essential.

Organisational and time management skills.

Strong knowledge and use of IT skills.

The remuneration package is competitive, also offering 10% commission OTE, life insurance and health insurance.
