  • Who You Are
  • You have OCR (RSA II) qualification or equivalent, Word Processing qualification/experience, and GCSE English and Maths (grades A-C) or equivalent NVQ qualifications.
  • You have proven clerical experience, and you've worked as part of a team in the past.
  • You possess experience in providing a full range of word processing services in an office environment.
  • You have proven experience of minutetaking in a formal setting.
  • You possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
  • You have the ability to take clear, concise minutes and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills.
  • You have the ability to prioritize work and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • You have good communication skills and the ability to cope with sensitive child protection information.
  • What the job involves
  • Provide administrative support to the Cared for Teams and Young Persons Team including minuting Strategy Meetings and other Professional meetings as required.
  • Type formal reports, letters, memos, and other appropriate correspondence.
  • Organize the collation and filing of reports, files, registers, and other records related to the work of the Cared for Teams and Young Persons Team.
  • Attend Strategy Meetings and other necessary meetings, acting as the minute taker where appropriate.
  • Undertake reception duties on behalf of the Cared for Teams and Young Persons Team.
  • Maintain appropriate records of work undertaken and comply with required administrative procedures, particularly when liaising with other agencies.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and handle telephone calls.
  • Prepare for and attend supervision sessions and staff meetings.
  • Participate in training and developmental activities as needed.
  • Contribute as appropriate to developments within Children's Services.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed to meet the exigencies of the service.
  • Ensure that client information data is gathered lawfully, kept accurate, uptodate, and only divulged according to the Data Protection Act 1998 and the local government common law duty of confidentiality.
