What you'll be responsible for:

  • Provide a secretarial service to the clinical team at Leigh House Hospital
  • Accurately transcribe (both audio and handwritten) confidential correspondence, discharge summaries, reports, filing and other work as requested within agreed timescales for the professional team
  • Make appointments and maintain the diary for clinicians and professional team
  • Provide efficient and effective highquality service, including meeting the public and dealing with telephone enquiries
  • Photocopying, filing and general administrative duties

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Previous audio typing experience.
  • Previous minute taking experience.
