Job Description: The opportunity

Stone King has an exciting opportunity for a Bids Executive to join our highly respected Business Development and Marketing Team. This role involves supporting the firm's bids strategy across key sectors such as Education, Charities, Faith, Business, and Social Enterprise.

As a Bids Executive, you will play a crucial role in winning, developing, and retaining clients while working closely with our Business Development Executive and the wider BD & Marketing Team.

This position is available in either our Bath or London office, with hybrid working options and a requirement for two days in the office.

Key responsibilities

General duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting bids/tenders and creating winning propositions.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinating bid opportunities and ensuring alignment with the firm's strategy.
  • Providing research and insights for new bid opportunities.
  • Enhancing bid production and content to exceed client needs.
  • Managing bid processes, training, and post-pitch activities.
  • Analyzing bid activity, MI reporting, and framework management.
  • Maintaining bids database and capability statements.
  • Utilizing AI tools for efficient content production.
  • Attending BD&M meetings and identifying networking opportunities.

Business Development

  • Lead generation and pipeline management.
  • CRM system support and leads identification.
  • Reporting on BD activity and tracking new work.
  • Client identification and key client development.

Essential requirements

  • Proven experience in bids, business development, or related roles.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, exceed targets, and adapt to market changes.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.

Desirable qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with the legal sector and professional services.
  • Prior experience in the legal field.
