The Trust embraces quality as the overarching principle for the organisation and has set a mission to improve the health and well being for the population we serve.

The primary purpose of Quality Improvement (QI) in MSEFT is to nurture an improvement culture that gives all our colleagues and service users an opportunity to improve, innovate and grow.

It is vital that we build skills, change mind-sets and strengthen commitment to a shared vision to achieve this mission.

The Improvement Team's work includes engaging, encouraging and inspiring people inside and outside the organisation in improvement, helping people build and also use improvement skills, ensuring there is support for those undertaking improvement and overseeing continuous improvement through a mixture of QI and the use of QI tools.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Quality Improvement Team with day to day diary management including compilation, coordination and prioritisation of appointments.
  • To support projects which are included within the Quality Improvement Team's portfolio of work.
  • Provide administrative support to the Quality Improvement team including diary management, meeting coordination, project support and coordination of training delivered by the team.
  • Organise and arrange meetings, live stream events, training days and events on behalf of the Quality Improvement Team.
  • Collate and prepare information, documentation and correspondence, on behalf of the Quality Improvement Team, for a range of audiences both internally and externally

The post holder will work in close partnership with managers, nursing and medical staff and other healthcare professionals and will be required to communicate effectively and efficiently.

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is now one of the largest in the country, with a workforce of approximately 15,000 who serve a population of 1.2 million people.

We work together, and in conjunction with MSE Health and Care Partnership, to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

From facilities through to consultant specialists we want to be the best, to achieve this we need to recruit not just those who are the finest in their field but also those who have the potential to be.

Yes, experience is important but so is outlook - if you are dynamic, forward-thinking and enthusiastic we want you to join us.

We not only offer you a good working environment with flexible working opportunities, but also the opportunity to develop your career with access to appropriate training for your job and the support to succeed and progress.

If you have a positive and friendly outlook and are able to work well under pressure, please read the enclosed Job Description for more information about this excellent opportunity.
