With more than 80 years of experience in the profession of Chiropody and Podiatry, the IOCP as a leading UK professional body recognises that there is an essential requirement to set a definitive benchmark for training, standards, ethics and continuing professional development for the growing profession of Foot Health Practitioners (FHPs).

The College of Foot Health encompasses all training elements for FHPs.

Job description
We are looking to recruit a full-time office administrator to work closely with, and support our Faculty of Education. Based at our Head Office in Southport, you will be part of our friendly administration team.


Occasionally you will be required to attend events throughout the UK and Ireland so being able to drive and having access to a car would be advantageous, but not essential.

Approved travel expenses will be paid.


This is a full-time role with 5 working days per week, with some weekend/evening working (for which either time off in lieu would be taken or approved overtime expenses paid).


Duties to include but not limited to:

  • General office administration skills
  • Direct incoming calls to relevant departments
  • Manage personal and shared mailboxes
  • Creating, editing and updating spreadsheets
  • Provide both clerical and administrative support to management either as part of a team or individually
  • Assisting in the organisation of, and attendance at meetings
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Managing inventory of office and clinic supplies, including stationery to ensure smooth office operations
  • Attendance at events
  • Manage and support students on all courses

Office Administrator key knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suites such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
  • Strong administration skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Multitasking and organisational skills to manage different duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and other employees
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role

Job Type:

Full time (35 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, but varied when weekend working is required; 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
