Job Summary

We are excited to receive applications from experienced Principal or Consultant Clinical Psychologists with a strong background in training to lead our MSc CAP Programme. This role offers a great opportunity to advance your career in training for Clinical Psychology and the Psychological professions. The Programme Lead will oversee the team responsible for delivering Masters level training for Clinical Associates in Psychology (CAPs). This role is ideal for individuals with significant training experience, a deep understanding of the CAP role, university processes, and the ability to manage senior staff and clinical lecturers.

Main Duties of the Job

The CAP Programme Lead will ensure the delivery of high-quality education, including designing, delivering, and evaluating teaching and training. They will lead the programme team, using feedback to enhance programme development and teaching practices. The successful candidate will manage the CAP training programme, develop new training pathways, and oversee staff development. Additionally, they will design and deliver specialist teaching, ensuring compliance with professional guidelines and quality standards.

They will collaborate with partner organizations to provide top-notch training to staff and students, aligning with industry standards and government guidelines on apprenticeships.

About Us

Our programme is well-connected nationally and offers opportunities to engage with a broad network of professionals in the field. The Trust provides excellent support for staff development and offers a 'blended learning' approach to teaching. Our team works mainly from Epping and Brentwood but also offers flexible working arrangements.

  • Doctoral level qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology
  • HCPC Registration

  • Experience in quality assurance processes
