We are seeking experienced people preferably with HGV2/1 licenses to work within our Specialist Surface Treatments division as part of one of the Process Teams delivering Recycling/Microsurfacing/Surface Dressing Solutions to Colas clients.
Day to day, you'll install/remove Traffic Management as required; prepare roads for surface treatment including protection of iron work; and safely carry out road repairs and improvements using various surface treatment processes.
We operate a variety of shift patterns, but you'll need to be flexible and able to stay away in mobile accommodation.
This involves working in various locations within the UK, including every other weekend during the main season. Colas will provide mobile accommodation and you will receive a subsistence payment.
As well as a very competitive hourly rate, we are offering a generous bonus structure, allowances, overtime, and average holiday pay.
Career development and progression is available, and you'll have the ability to move into supervisory roles.
We are looking for flexible / hardworking individuals who, ideally, have experience in similar highways maintenance roles preferably with HGV 2/1 driving or plant/machinery experience.
Most importantly is that you enjoy working outdoors, in all weathers, within a crew on a flexible working pattern.
It is essential you will hold a Valid UK Driving Licence.
It would be an advantage if you have any of the following qualifications:
- HGV
- HGV
- CPC
- CSCS Card
- NRSWA
- NVQ (Micro Surfacing/Road Building)
Traffic Management T1/T
- Banksman
