About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Colas Ltd. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing tender documentation, identifying key risks, and developing comprehensive estimates for surface treatments, recycling, and highways infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Compiling estimates for various projects, including surface treatments, recycling, and highways infrastructure
  • Analyzing tender documentation and identifying potential showstoppers and key risks
  • Developing comprehensive risk and opportunity schedules, fully quantified and with mitigation measures
  • Liaising with commercial and operational resources to obtain construction methodology expertise
  • Engaging with procurement teams to obtain material and subcontract pricing
  • Attending sites and client meetings to provide guidance and expertise
  • Compiling estimates, preliminaries costs, and risk and opportunity schedules for presentation to stakeholders
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar or equivalent role
  • Full UK driving license for occasional site and supplier meetings
  • Knowledge of estimating software and MS suite is desirable
