Experience is not essential but we are looking for special people who have transferable skills to support the exceptional young people we care for.


Hours:

Generally a mix of long days 7.30am - 9.30pm, late shifts pm and early shifts 7.30am-2.30pm. You would need to work every other weekend and also complete some sleep in duties.

Full time positions are based on an average of 37.5hr pw, we may also consider part time depending on your availability.

- £12.25ph (rising to £12.75ph after successful probation)

The Belsteads Group currently have 2 x homes caring for young people from the ages 8-17. All of our young people have a learning disability which covers a broad range of needs and diagnosis.

Our young people require different levels of support, from support with their communication and behaviours, to helping them with their personal care and independence skills.

Every day is different, and our main aim is to ensure all our young people are happy and safe. We have a new provision opening soon and further plans for expansion, so lots of room for progression.

The role


As a support worker you will play a vital part in providing the Young People we support with a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

Our mission is to safeguard the children and young people's potential, understanding that each child is unique.


We work with young people who may present with behaviour that challenges and seeing the impact of an approached centered on consistency, stability and love has gives a huge opportunity for job satisfaction in seeing the impact you can make on young people's lives.

We are looking for staff who are kind, caring, resilient and able to support young people in all areas of their care, including personal care where required.
