The role & your responsibilities:
The role involves installation and commissioning work, 1st line reactive maintenance on support contracts, and working at heights. Work hours are fixed Monday-Friday with a rotational on-call rota for 24/7, 365 days support to customers. This UK role in Northern Ireland may require occasional work away from home and a full driving license.
You will:
- Preparation and termination of various cables
- Perform industry-standard testing on telecoms and antenna systems
- Equipment installation and commissioning
- Wiring and connection of DC power to equipment
- 1st Line Support and troubleshooting of customer equipment
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Completion of site surveys
What we need from you:
- Previous work as a junior or field engineer in the telecoms sector
- Experience with equipment like BERT, RF sweeper, and multimeters
- Use of power tools, hand tools, ladders, or working at height
- Driving for work or managing a company vehicle
- Previous electrical or mechanical work
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, basic DOS commands, and mobile apps
- Interest in new technology and equipment
- Analytical skills for fault diagnosis
