Mental Health Adviser Contract:
Permanent Hours: 22.5 per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10.00 am to 6.00 pm)

Starting salary £28,806 per annum pro rata with incremental progression based on performance to £30,975 per annum pro rata Closing date: 9.00 am on Thursday 30th May 2024 Interview date: Friday 7th June 2024 The MAP Advice services provides information, advice and advocacy on issues related to social welfare and mental health.

The Advice team run drop-in centres across Norfolk, facilitating a young person-centred social space alongside advice services. The team also acts as a front door to MAP's Therapeutic services. The successful candidate would be joining our largest drop-in centre in Norwich.

You would be supported by a Senior Mental Health Adviser to provide 1-1 Mental Health Advice interventions alongside facilitating a friendly and dynamic drop in.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with young people and helping them to set and achieve goals to manage their mental health effectively.

You will be able to help young people identify external factors affecting their mental health and advocate for them around these factors.

You will also have knowledge of other local services which a young person can be signposted and referred to.

The successful candidate will be highly organised and able to keep clear, up to date and accurate records so that young people receive a seamless service when they visit our drop ins.

You will have the skills and experience in group work with young people and will have experience of working in a team and enjoy working in a fast-paced changeable environment.

You will also have experience of managing the risks that arise when working with young people's mental health.
