Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Employment Adviser to join our team. As an Employment Adviser, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to achieve their employment goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide employment support and guidance to individuals with mental health conditions, helping them to find, retain, or return to work.
- Work closely with service users, clinicians, and therapists to develop and implement employment plans.
- Conduct employment assessments, provide advice, information, and guidance, and facilitate group sessions to support individuals in achieving their employment objectives.
- Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring timely and effective support to meet their employment needs.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with local employers, job centers, and other stakeholders to promote employment opportunities for service users.
- Collaborate with the employment team to develop and deliver group interventions, promoting employment and recovery outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of client data, using electronic clinical record systems and other tools as required.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications, such as a HND or Foundation Degree in a related field.
- Experience of providing employment support and guidance to individuals with mental health conditions.
- Ability to work effectively with service users, clinicians, and therapists to develop and implement employment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze information and develop effective solutions to support employment outcomes.
- Good understanding of the role of psychological therapies in supporting mental wellbeing and employment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm.
