Our client a well-respected and reputable financial membership organisation is currently looking for a Senior Events Organiser.

The Membership Organisation has a strong and growing portfolio of events that broaden national and regional opportunities to engage with our broad, diverse, and active community; provide practical education and technical support for the continuing professional development of our members, and provide a platform to help shape, debate and discuss innovations and insight for the benefit of the future of the sector.

Their events programme, which spans flagship national conferences, national and regional networking and social events, technical briefings, and quarterly regional meetings, plays a vital role towards 3 key strategic objectives.


Contributing to annual financial targets

The Senior Events Organiser, together with the Senior Events Manager, and event organisers, plays a key role in delivering the portfolio of member events on both a national and regional level.

Throughout the year they deliver a range of member events providing opportunities for networking, learning and development, and B2B opportunities.

The role of the Senior Event Organiser is to work with the Senior Events Manager to deliver successful events, both virtually and face to face, to provide support to the Senior Events Manager in budgeting, communication with regional chairs and general events strategy when required.

To support the Senior Events Manager to ensure delivery of regional and national events, conferences and courses, both virtual and face-to-face, that meet our expected standards of delivery and support strategic aims, providing a strong annual financial contribution.

To deputise as and when appropriate including providing training and support for the event's organisers.

# In support of member engagement and retention initiatives, supporting the Senior Events Manager to ensure that the national and regional events programme overall, and at an individual event level, is planned and delivered in an effective and cost-efficient manner, ensuring that members are engaged with us, understand and value their membership and that events provide a strong annual financial contribution and deliver year-on-year growth in events income.

Event programme development, planning and delivery:

# Supporting the Senior Events Manager in working closely with the Membership Team and colleagues to develop, budget and deliver an annual programme of national and regional events delivered virtually and face-to-face, ensuring that the events programme is aligned with the overall strategic aims of the membership organisation.

Lead on agreed events from the more complex multi-element events with responsibilities including but not limited to: Project management for overall programme and individual events.

Lead on collaboration from the inception of the event with the respective organising our committees to post event evaluation.

Creating, monitoring and reporting of budgets ensuring a strong financial contribution and year on year growth
Venue and production liaison - including establishing catering requirements, meeting room logistics AV and accommodation requirements.

Liaising with speakers, sponsors and conference committees regarding the submission of programme materials and presentation and sponsor obligations pre and at the event.

Organising any fringe events attached to the forums such as gala dinners and golf days.
Working with marketing on event branding, collateral, and delegate experience
Staffing requirements for delivery of the event, defining roles and responsibilities and arranging availability of staff required. Both in organising and delivery of the event.

Supporting the Senior Events Manager in the organisation and delivery of the programme of regional and national member events and conference including (but not limited to): Liaison with venues, establishing catering requirements, meeting room logistics and booking accommodation for speakers and delegates.

Liaising with speakers, sponsors and conference and regional committees regarding the submission of programme materials and presentations
Producing joining instructions for events
