We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed finance assistant to join our Finance and Data Team here at Wakefield Adult Education Service. The successful person will be expected to provide an efficient and professional financial administration service to our learners, staff and stakeholders. They will work alongside our Data and Finance Manager providing first class financial administration and data input support in a busy working office.

This post is 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday all year around and is office based at our Manygates Headquarters in Wakefield.

We are looking for a reliable, dedicated and enthusiastic person who:

  • has an interest in finance and data administration.
  • has a friendly and positive manner and can communicate effectively with our staff and learners.
  • can work effectively and efficiency as part of our team but can also work independently using their own initiative to get the job done in a timely manner.
  • has excellent written and IT skills (Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
  • has experience of working in a similar administrative role or is willing to learn on the job to use our financial systems (Agresso) - however full training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
