In the role of a Finance Assistant, the successful candidate will be tasked with the day-to-day management of financial services within a not-for-profit organisation. They will be involved in tasks such as data entry, processing payments, and maintaining financial records.

Our client is a not-for-profit organisation with a workforce of over 500 employees. Operating within the Accounting & Finance industry, they are situated in Wakefield (WF4) and are dedicated to providing exceptional financial services to their clients.

Description

  • Efficient data entry and maintenance of financial records
  • Processing invoices and payments in a timely manner
  • Assisting in the creation of monthly financial reports
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Adhering to financial regulations and legislation
  • Supporting the finance team in daily administrative tasks
  • Assisting in budget preparation
  • Participating in annual audits

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and team-working skills
  • An understanding of financial regulations and legislation
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive approach to work and problem-solving abilities

Job Offer

  • Salary range of 25,000 to 26,000 per annum
  • Full-time contract with potential for part-time (30 hours per week)
  • Generous holiday allowance - 25 days plus bank holidays and additional time off between Christmas and New Year
