You will see those who present with a wide range of minor illness and who have urgent and same day requests.

The Duty team offers urgent appointments for patients who feel they can't wait for a routine appointment or who need an urgent home visit. You will work closely with other clinicians (GPs & Pharmacists) to deliver this service.

  • Take a holistic approach to patient care, bringing together their medical, social and psychological needs.
  • Empower patients to take responsibility for managing their own care and treatment where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

For those patients at risk of hospital admission, for example, in a care home or with complex needs, they have a care plan which is communicated to the out of hours GP service. The Paramedic is responsible for creating and updating care plans for new patients when involved in their care.

For this part time role, w e offer a competitive salary, NHS pension and 31 days annual leave pro rata. You will have access to regular clinical supervision.
