About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Governance and Board Services team, part of the Finance, Corporate Governance and Legal Services Directorate.

Working in the heart of this team, you will be a dynamic individual with a strong interest in governance. You will ensure that NSS has in place sound, integrated, policies, procedures and structures, ensuring that NSS complies with legal, constitutional and regulatory requirements in order to support the delivery of outstanding, integrated governance. You will also play a central role in supporting the NSS Board and its Committees, supporting the Board Secretary to ensure the Board conducts its business in an efficient and effective manner, in line with good governance.

You will need to be able to rise to challenges, whilst remaining calm and rational under pressure. You will have exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) so highly tuned interpersonal skills will be essential.

This challenging but exciting role comes with a high degree of autonomy and one where you will be required to anticipate, identify and provide solutions to a variety of issues.

Location and Working Pattern:

Although ideally Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow, the role can be undertaken utilising hybrid working.

The work pattern is e.g Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
