Working in our UK Construction team, you will build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders to deliver an exceptional customer experience

What you'll be doing

As a key member of the regional team, you will be responsible for delivering activities outlined in the project communication and community engagement plan to provide appropriate and timely information to all stakeholders.


You will:

  • Work closely with project managers and BB Helpline/client customer service teams, acting as the main point of contact to facilitate resolution of all project related enquiries/complaints in a prompt and professional manner
  • Coordinate and participate in project led community relations events including public exhibitions, community meetings and community liaison working groups
  • Identify opportunities to showcase expertise, raise profiles and build trust with the local community
  • Deliver proactive community communications activity including letter drops, newsletters and
presentations to internal stakeholders, businesses, residents and schools/colleges

  • Ensure project site(s) hoarding and information boards comply with Balfour Beatty or Joint Venture brand guidelines
  • Work closely with Balfour Beatty Group communications team to talk positively about project
successes and key milestones

  • Produce regular reports to update on community engagement performance against agreed strategy
  • Carry out regular customer impact assessments to provide data/statistics that will drive future
improvements to embed a 'customer led' approach

  • Coordinate project related employee recognition activities to highlight positive customer
accolades/feedback

  • Coordinate production of photographs and videos to demonstrate project progress and achievement
  • Support team with completing Customer MAP assessments for all project

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

  • Experience in marketing, public relations, communications or a related field
  • Able to demonstrate track record in delivering a positive endtoend customer experience
  • Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Team player who adapts positively to changing customer demands
  • A self starter with strong organisation skills and the ability to manage conflicting deadlines
  • A clean driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office36
  • Member of CIPR and relevant qualification
  • Experience of working on construction/civil engineering infrastructure projects
  • Good understanding of the regulatory environment in construction/rail/utility industries
