Job Description
  • Responsible for setting the in-store experience for retailers to promote natural diamonds globally and to support the Origin brand in the US
  • Lead the development and global roll-out of all in-store materials such as visual merchandising, windows, digital signage and packaging
  • Collaborate with the Brand & Content team and local Marketing leads on creative development of in-store materials
  • Oversee the development of training initiatives for both Origin and Natural Diamonds

Omnichannel Strategy and Development

  • Collaborate with other Heads, including Operations & Strategy, Brand & Content, Media and PR & Comms, to input into the marketing strategy supporting Origin and Natural Diamonds
  • Develop an omnichannel strategy – supporting the marketing strategy – to deliver a seamless and engaging customer experience from digital through in-store to create awareness of and engagement with the Origin brand and Natural Diamonds
  • Develop an implementation plan to support the rollout of the omnichannel strategy across markets
  • Oversee the integration of the digital and training disciplines into the omnichannel strategy

In-store Experience Strategy and Development

  • Develop the in-store brand experience to promote Origin and Natural Diamonds and communicate the vision to global marketing teams
  • Lead visual merchandising strategies to provide elevated client experiences
  • Deliver solutions for incorporating brand/natural diamonds stories in-store
  • Drive the in-store omnichannel offering through digital signage and immersive experiences
  • Lead and inspire innovation and creativity in the retailer space
  • Lead the design and development of visual merchandising design, packaging, permanent display kits, providing insight-driven creative briefs through to sign-off on all final samples and prototypes. Review, consult and align on local market adaptations and implementation
  • Research new trends and activities in other industries, such as design, fashion, tech, and beauty, to make proposals and recommendations

Global Visual Merchandising Operations Management

  • Oversee the logistical production and global roll-out of in-store materials and implement an effective global ordering process
  • Identify collateral needs and oversee the efficiency and cost effectiveness of production across all distribution channels
  • Work with markets to align on relevant brand imagery and supply to the markets as required
  • Undertake regular VM reviews, collating and producing quantitative and qualitative feedback, key learnings and future recommendations
  • Find value engineering solutions as distribution increases
  • Manage budgets, ensuring development and implementation of in-store projects are within budget

Training

  • Oversee the development of comprehensive training programs for retailers and the diamond industry that are insight-driven, elevating the diamond buying experience while providing natural diamond/brand messaging, knowledge and sales techniques
  • Lead the Training Manager and any external partners to deliver engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and materials
  • Monitor training outcomes and provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure consistent execution across all retail locations

Digital

  • Lead the Senior Digital Manager to deliver the development and management of industry-leading digital properties for Origin and Natural Diamonds, providing brand/diamond storytelling, education, and engagement, and supporting the omnichannel strategies. The websites play a crucial role in enhancing brand awareness and fostering meaningful connections with our audience, and for Origins, supporting our retailer network.
  • Monitor digital platform performance as tracked by Senior Digital Manager and Insights & Analytics team and provide strategic guidance on effective optimizations, enhancements and upgrades

People Management

  • Oversee the Senior Digital Manager and the Training Manager
  • Provide leadership and guidance to global in-store marketing and trade relations colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
  • Set clear goals and expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and support the professional development of team members through training and mentorship
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, initiative, and continuous learning
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business or related field is desirable
  • Extensivemarketing experience
  • Quickly identifies the critical issues despite working with complex & ambiguous data and takes into account the broader and long-term implications.
  • Balances systematic analysis with the ability to make difficult decisions.
  • Applies creativity and innovative thinking to produce sustainable solutions.
  • Has understanding of the full range of factors that affect the whole organisation.
  • Proven track record of success in a senior marketing role, with specific experience in visual merchandising and in-store marketing within the retail industry.
  • Diamond or jewellery retail strongly encouraged.
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their full potential.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting, able to derive actionable insights and make data-driven decisions.
