DURATION:
FTC 12 months

HOURS: 40 per week Mon - Fri Early: Late:

(Flexibility be able to cover on-call evenings and weekends. Additional payment of £27.00 for evenings and £34.00 at the weekend per day)

Day-to-day duties:

  • Provide 121 support within a female safe house.
  • Carry out safety planning and risk assessments.
  • Participate in the development of safety plans and referral to MARAC.
  • Produce individual support plans for each child and young person.
  • Facilitate young people's access to other resources and services, such as doctors and social services, and act as an advocate for young people in meetings and discussions.
  • Plan and provide opportunities that encourage children and young people to develop and express themselves through activities.
  • Work as part of the multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people escaping domestic abuse.
  • Provide safe accommodation and support to Potential Victims of Human Trafficking
  • Enable service users to move through the process of reasonable grounds and possible criminal proceedings.
  • Where appropriate, move on into independent accommodation or facilitate a return to country of origin, working in partnership with the UK Visa's and Immigration Services or specific Embassies.
  • Provide support and all elements of the ECAT entitlement as appropriate to PVOT's in external accommodation within our Outreach Service's.
  • Provide a proactive service and advice to PVOT's to keep them and their children as safe as possible.
  • Advocate on the Victims behalf in multiagency meetings.
  • Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures in relation to safeguarding children and adults.
  • Assist with evidence gathering on PVOT's behalf for asylum, police and compensation claims.

Essentials:

  • DBS within the last 12 months
  • Previous experience in supported living
  • Flexibility around working.
