We are seeking a compassionate and patient Support Worker to join our team at People Plus Independent Living Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with autism, ADHD, and fibromyalgia in their daily life.
Key Responsibilities- Nutrition and Hygiene: Assist with meal preparation, including smoothie making, and provide support with personal care, such as nail care.
- Housekeeping and Organization: Help with tidying up, organizing, vacuuming, washing up, changing bedding, and managing laundry.
- Creative Pursuits: Support the individual in setting up and organizing materials for creative projects, such as writing and digital art.
- Social Support: Accompany the individual to social events, appointments, and community outings, providing emotional support and assistance as needed.
- Therapeutic Routines: Prompt and support the individual in maintaining healthy routines, including therapeutic activities such as breathing exercises.
We are looking for someone who is empathetic, patient, and understanding of neurodiverse traits. You should be able to communicate openly and build trust with the individual.
In return, you will receive a competitive hourly rate of £18 and the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life.
