Asahi UK are looking for a
Finance Business Partner to support our
Manufacturing sites on a
12-month FTC.


Working within the Finance function, the role is key to act as a valued partner to the manufacturing teams at Meantime Brewery and Cornish Orchards cidery to generate financial insights and ensure we make informed decisions to enhance operational effectiveness and financial performance.


This covers reporting & analysis on actual performance, annual budgeting and forecasting exercises, KPI tracking and financial evaluation of decisions such as capital investment.


Key Accountabilities

  • Works with Manufacturing team to deliver the planning, budgeting & forecasting processes
  • Provides analysis and evaluation of the plan, budget & forecast related to its specific area of focus, ensuring the most profitable allocation of resources through financial insights & constructive challenge
  • Play a lead role in the production of month end accounts, including variance analysis and commentary for the two sites and reviewing these results with the teams, providing challenge and insights
  • Ensure that effective monthly reports are produced covering the manufacturing side of the business, leading to the provision of high quality reporting covering COGS and associated areas
  • Work with the AEI Finance Shared Service Centre to support the sites and ensure issues relating to invoices/vendors are resolved in a timely manner
  • Assist on projects across all production sites, standardising reporting and improving the FP&A processes utilising SAP functionality where possible.
  • Coordinating reforecasting and budgeting submissions across the team, ensuring consistent formats and timely completion.
  • Utilising SAP to produce standard monthly reporting vs budget and reduce the level of data manipulation required at month end and rolling this out for use across all sites.
  • Lead monthly Finance and COGS reviews, ensuring COGS performance is reviewed with accurate and timely data, with improvement actions identified and reviewed
  • Assist in the production of weekly KPI reporting covering the manufacturing area of the business.
  • Produce standard prices of all SKU's out of the budget process and convert these into transfer prices for use throughout the AIL business.
  • Develop and improve tools to build a better understanding of cost drivers within production team
  • Support the in the building business cases for any CAPEX proposals from the sites.
  • Provide any supporting documents and schedules required during the audit process
  • Participate where necessary in providing Statutory Accounts.
  • Accountable for financial capability improvement within the operational teams; identifies and implements opportunities to drive advancement on the capability maturity staircase and project manages associated initiatives

Experience and Competence Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
  • Strong Financial technical knowledge covering all areas of Finance
  • Experience producing monthly management accounts
  • SAP experience
  • Experience of providing finance partnership to a manufacturing function, with FMCG or drinks sector an advantage
  • Proven track record of presenting financial information effectively to nonfinance stakeholders, influencing nonfinancial decision makers & driving improvements through the business
  • FP&A experience
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to manage a high volume workload and multiple priorities with focus and simplicity
  • PowerBI experience an advantage
