We are looking for an HR Administrator to provide a high level of HR administrative support to academic and professional services colleagues across the Institute of Genetics and Cancer.


The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to gain experience in a variety of HR administrative processes.

You will be the first point of contact in the Institute for all technical HR queries and system related issues providing specialist advice and support to service users.

You will be an exceptionally skilled and experienced Administrator and will work to a high degree of independence, using your comprehensive knowledge, to deliver customer centric advice and guidance on HR policies.


This post is full-time (35 hours per week), We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent level qualifications.
  • Knowledge of HR policy and practice gained through relevant work experience.
  • Customer focused approach with experience of delivering a service delivery, e.g. recruitment.
  • Proactive with the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
