The role
The difference our new Assistant Buyer will make
As a Assistant Buyer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Actively supporting the company's Health, Safety, Environmental, Code of Conduct, Quality and other policies and procedures.
Day to day, you'll establish and maintain a good working relationship with stakeholders as necessary to achieve business, functional and personal objectives, performance of all tasks, process, system, and administration duties related to sourcing, procurement and logistics activities, within your capabilities, for approval by the Buyer including:
- Establishing scope of supply
- Requests for quotation / tender evaluation and summary
- Expediting purchase order deliverables
- Management of Purchase Orders and Purchase Order acknowledgements

Essential experience
Must have:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software, particularly Word and Excel.
- Office experience
Advantage:
- Experience within a Procurement environment
- Experience with procurement/buying process
The Person:
- The ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
- Organised, approachable and proactive with good initiative.
- Can work well on their own or as part of a team.
- Works well under pressure in accordance with demanding deadlines.
- Good problemsolving ability.
- Confident communicator with a good telephone manner
