Key Responsibilities

The role involves supporting the Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing Team to enhance purchasing capabilities, ensuring competitive advantages while delivering optimal value, pricing, quality, and timely delivery. This is achieved through the application of established purchasing tools and techniques, in accordance with recognized best practices, legal standards, and organizational policies.

Primary Functions
ESSENTIAL

Operate as an individual contributor, proficiently applying established standards. Work direction is provided, with assignments reviewed to ensure adherence to organizational processes, standards, and policies. Lead and manage the procurement process for project-specific raw materials, including safety stock items and monitoring inventory levels. Engage in supply chain strategy development, contributing to global objectives. Achieve significant year-on-year savings targets aligned with project budgets. Assist the tendering team in preparing RFQs for raw materials according to required timelines. Anticipate long lead time raw material needs and communicate potential supply risks to the business. Maintain optimal levels of silo materials and forecast usage to suppliers. Conduct weekly reviews of project schedules to ensure alignment with delivery plans. Manage fixed pricing schedules, maximizing long-term agreements while considering global requirements. Oversee intercompany transactions related to raw materials and inventory movements, ensuring compliance with deadlines. Support estimate reviews, risk assessments, and stage gate evaluations as necessary. Collaborate with team members to resolve supplier issues, ensuring timely supply and fostering positive relationships. Conduct supplier selection and negotiations, including terms, payment conditions, pricing, and service levels. Generate and distribute monthly reports on raw material pricing and lead times. Assist Quality in addressing vendor-related non-conformances and ensure lessons learned are implemented. Participate in HSE Awareness initiatives, including observation cards and safety suggestions. Advocate for waste reduction and environmentally friendly practices, contributing to ongoing environmental improvement. Exhibit a positive attitude and engagement, consistently supporting Oceaneering's culture of Safety, Quality, continuous learning, and improvement. Perform additional tasks as required to meet business needs, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

A degree in business or relevant certification. Extensive experience in a Buyer role within a manufacturing environment.
