About your role:


As the People Partner for our Central Teams (Support Office), you will work closely with key stakeholders in the central teams (Consumer, Finance, IT, People & Legal) to build skills and capabilities which support our overall business strategy.


Your proactive partnering-approach will identify key opportunities for the People team to act as enablers to achieving our business objectives; translating, and influencing the People strategy to meet functional need, challenging leaders at all levels and supporting your stakeholders to deliver their operating plan.


You will be influential in driving all people and organisation-related programmes and initiatives in the business function, including but not limited to ED&I, Organisational Design and target operating development, performance and talent management, succession planning, reward and recognition and change management.

This role will see you partner closely with all areas of COE (Centres of Expertise) within the People team, and you'll work closely with the Head of People to provide a seamless service to the Leadership and Senior Leadership Teams.


As a People Partner, you will offer advice and guidance on HR best practice and policy to leaders, and personally deal with any complex ER issues and People-related projects within the Central team.

About your responsibilities:

_ Partnering Leadership Teams_
You'll develop deep and trusted partnering relationships with your key stakeholders and their direct reports, acting as an internal consultant to diagnose, develop and implement effective people strategies and people plans which support the delivery of corporate objectives and align with our People Strategy


Working closely with your leadership group you will deliver measurable feedback, holding coaching conversations to increase their personal impact and leadership approach, and enabling them to develop themselves and others, and role model our behaviours and values.

Working hand-in-hand with the L & D team, you will identify, plan and promote relevant learning and development activities across the function in order to improve performance and capability, and to further the objectives of the function.

Equally, you will work with your colleague engagement colleagues to support and drive our engagement and wellbeing initiatives across the business.


_ ED&I_
Working closely with the ED&I Specialist, you'll take an active and accountable role as part of a matrix team to ensure that ED&I KPIs are woven into all areas of responsibility

Workforce Planning


In partnership with Line Managers and the Finance team, you'll work to deliver & maintain the headcount establishment required to achieve the business plan at a departmental level.

You'll coach and support Line Managers to develop plans to ensure relevant resource requirements are met through recruitment and retention activities.

Owning responsibility, you will create, translate, and communicate data insight to your stakeholders, in support of the area plan; procuring the required tools/support to do so (e.g. recruitment, upskilling, data, insight).

_ Talent_
You will provide advice and guidance on action plans to support retention and development of high potential individuals.

Developing robust succession plans with actions clearly identified and planned for, you'll lean into your colleagues in the L & D team to plan and deliver leadership development programmes and coaching as required.
