The Role of a Paraplanner at a Reputable Financial Planning Firm

This company is seeking a dedicated Paraplanner to join their team and continue delivering top-notch financial advice to their clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow professionally, enhance their technical skills, and work alongside a team of skilled paraplanners.

Responsibilities of a Paraplanner:

  • Assist the Financial Planner in formulating client advice and offering technical guidance.
  • Review and analyze client objectives to ensure they align with financial circumstances.
  • Conduct research on investment funds and financial products based on client goals.
  • Review asset allocation for investments and pensions.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and plans to guide clients towards their financial objectives.
  • Handle fund switches and encashments as per provided advice.
  • Liaise with Product Providers on technical matters.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and support team members.
  • Maintain accurate client records and update information in back-office systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical financial knowledge.
  • Experience in data research and report writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Customer service-oriented with a professional mindset.
  • Proactive, team player with a focus on continuous learning.
  • Passionate about contributing to the business' success.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully Diploma qualified.
  • Understanding of Financial Planning processes and cashflow modeling.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and organizational abilities.
  • Effective time management and attention to detail.
  • Experience with FE Analytics, Cashflow Modelling, and I/O tools preferred.
