  • Initial priorities will be:
  • Leading work on drug and alcohol related deaths, including maintaining strong working relationships with the Coroner's Office
  • Supporting the work of the Leeds Drug and Alcohol Partnership Board and it's subgroups
  • Supporting citywide drug and alcohol campaigns work.
  • This post will require extensive partnership working and engagement with local stakeholders, good communication skills and knowledge of project and programme management.
Have a good knowledge of multi-agency working to achieve public health outcomes

  • Have a good knowledge Health Needs Assessments and Health Equity Audits
  • Be educated to degree level in Public Health or a related field.
  • This post is located within the Healthy Living team.
The role of the team is to lead, influence and contribute to work programmes on the wider determinants of health and population and individual behaviour change, particularly in relation to:

  • Tobacco, drugs and alcohol
  • Food and physical activity
  • Adult obesity
  • Work and health
  • Spatial planning, transport, active lifestyles, licensing
